We sought to create a device that would maximize the efficiency, range, and cruise speed of a fixed-wing while retaining the maneuverability and other package delivery advantages of a multicopter or VTOL

Dronehook: A Novel Fixed-Wing Package Retrieval System
Our proposal describes a system capable of retrieving a package "in-stride" and continuing onto its destination with little to no delay or change in altitude
Dronehook draws significant inspiration from the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system
We provide rationale to justify our hypothesis that a fixed-wing with our system is capable of outperforming a VTOL airframe
